    Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice.
    Let the sea roar and all it contains;
    Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
    Then all the TREES OF THE FOREST will sing for joy
    Before the Lord, for He is coming.
    For He is coming to judge the earth.
    He will judge the world in righteousness
    And the peoples in His faithfulness.
    Ps 96:11-13

    There's just about nothing better in life than walking among the redwoods!

    The ability to see God even where he doesn't announce himself with flaming bushes is a gift to treasure. Thanks for sharing it.

    Sounds wonderful. Be like Thoreau, but don't grow a beard like his. ;-)

    Sounds like the beginning of a poem here (hint hint).

    And I must agree... the woods were inspiring, divine, uncharted... the winding creek an invitation to a journey that leads both home and away from home. All of it felt a bit off the map. A gift. But only there for those who dared to step into the shadows.

    So often we find God when we go where others dare not, where conventional wisdom says DO NOT GO THERE... and where we know we will find something surprising. Maybe it will be the pearl of wisdom that was cast before swine, maybe it is the shard of the broken vessel that you were missing and now you will not leak when God pours into you.

    Only you know, and thanks for sharing.
